Molly Smitgall, Mini-Session Client
After moving into a home with my boyfriend and his daughter, I found myself totally lost not only the combination of mixed styles, but realized I had no idea how to fill space considering I was going from an apartment to a big house. I was a little skeptical with the idea of hiring an interior designer. I did not want to be judged on my total lack of style, but I was also worried that the only way my house would look like those pictures in the magazines would mean getting out the checkbook and kissing my every dollar good bye! I couldn’t have been more WRONG.
Angela met me house and paid very close attention when I told her what I was looking for in each room. I was vague, “I want to cozy and inviting”. I explained I felt lost, didn’t want to remodel, but was open to ideas for change. We walked from room to room and the ideas she had me literally clapping my hands. The suggestions she made were so inexpensive and creative, but realist and modern. We started moving furniture around, just for ideas and literally within 5 minutes I had an entirely different living room. After about 2 hours, several rooms later and numerous pictures Angela was on her way. I felt excited, but relieved because everything she suggested I could do and afford.
Within 48 hours, I had an e-mail with EVERYTHING we had discussed. She made mood boards so I could have a visual of the things we talked about. Not only that, everything on the board was followed with an e-mail link and pricing. I literally had everything right at my finger tips. Weeks later, Ang was still e-mailing me ideas, pictures of furniture she had stumbled across while shopping for herself, etc.
I could not be any happier with the services provided by Angela at Fairly Modern Home. Professional, Affordable and she is beyond talented. Not only did she take my budget into consideration, she went above any expectation I ever had. I’ve already referred her to several friends and I will certainly have her back when it’s time to upholster my headboard – a suggestion she made to avoid purchasing new bedroom furniture!
